SortingColors Origin — SCO Hashinals Collection 10,000 works. One origin. A universe of color. The SortingColors Origin (SCO) Hashinals Collection is the canonical collection of 10,000 generative artworks that forms the founding reference body of the SortingColors ecosystem. It is the project’s finite first chapter: an exploration of how color, mathematics, and motion can become an artistic language. Each work begins with a fixed collection index, linked to an author-defined visual recipe. Rather than starting from a word, a newly randomized configuration, or a collector-supplied code, Origin begins within a predefined collection plan. Each numbered composition has its own place within that larger body of work. Here, color does not simply fill a shape. It becomes the material from which shape emerges. Chromatic relationships are organized into geometry, then shaped through mathematical projection and transformation engines. Their interaction gives rise to structure, rhythm, movement, and texture. What you discover within those structures remains open. A composition might suggest an unfamiliar organism, a flower caught between unfolding and flight, a distant constellation, or a landscape that could never exist. Look again, and something else may appear. The mathematics establishes the form; your imagination opens its possible meanings. Each composition is represented by an SC1 Sorting Code, preserving its generative recipe. Interpreted by the same canonical SortingColors engine version, that code reconstructs the same underlying artwork—connecting the visible image to the instructions that shaped it.
