A Forever Mint is a custody pool rather than a launch. Holders deposit NFTs from an existing collection into a pool account, and a buyer pays a fixed mint price to take one out at random. Because the supply comes from depositors instead of from new minting, the same collection can keep minting indefinitely without its supply growing.

Where does the money go when you mint from a Forever Mint pool?

Almost all of it goes to whoever deposited the NFT. Reading three real mint transactions across three collections on the Hedera mirror node, the depositor received 91%, 94% and 96% of the price, the remainder went to the collection's royalty recipients, and the pool account itself received exactly zero in every case. A Forever Mint pool is custody, not a treasury.
